States in armed conflict 2002

This is the 15th edition of the annual report of States in Armed Conflict. It presents ongoing armed conflicts in the world for the period 1946–1988 and 1989–2002.

The report includes armed conflicts involving at least one government and where the incompatibility concerns either government or territory.

This issue commemorates the initiation of the Uppsala conflict data efforts and the life of G. Kenneth Wilson. In the project history it can be read how we began this work almost exactly 25 years ago.
